Why I Chose Drupal
I decided to go with Drupal because of its flexibility and powerful content management features. It’s perfect for building anything from a small blog to a large community website. Plus, with Softaculous, installing it was super easy!
Steps to Install Drupal via Softaculous
Here’s how I did it:
- Log into cPanel:
- I accessed my hosting account and logged into cPanel.
- Open Softaculous:
- In cPanel, I found the Softaculous App Installer (usually under the “Software” section) and clicked on it.
- Search for Drupal:
- In the Softaculous dashboard, I typed “Drupal” in the search bar and selected it.
- Install Drupal:
- I clicked the “Install” button and filled in some key details:
- Choose Domain: Selected my domain.
- Directory: Left blank to install Drupal on the main domain.
- Admin Username/Password: Created secure login credentials.
- Site Name: Chose a name for my new website.
- I clicked the “Install” button and filled in some key details:
- Complete Installation:
- I hit “Install” and waited a few moments for the process to complete. Softaculous gave me a success message with my admin URL.
Post-Installation Tips
- Secure Your Site: Change the default admin URL and use strong passwords.
- Update Immediately: Check for core and module updates after installation.
- Backup Regularly: Use cPanel or a module to create regular backups.
- Explore Themes and Modules: Enhance your site with useful modules and a theme that fits your style.

So far, I’m loving Drupal! It’s powerful, customizable, and perfect for building a feature-rich site. Softaculous made the installation process simple and fast. Plus, with cPanel’s tools, managing the site is easy.
